Yoga Hut

If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got!

Balance your body-balance your training! There can be a very real tendency to focus on  "hard exercise"; running, circuit training, weight training, followed by the customary 5 minutes on the mat to stretch-never enough to improve flexibility!  Consider this:

    B
alance hard exercise with an equal amount of soft or flexibility exercise.

By its very nature hard exercise shortens muscles.

Shortened muscles quickly fatigue.

Shortened muscles decrease mobility and flexibility.

Shortened muscles are prone to injury.

Recovering muscle length is a gradual and often long process.

It is easier to maintain muscle length (flexibility), then to attempt to recover it.
